         Dr. B.SIDDESWARA RAO, Professor & Principal, Vaagdevi Institute of Technology & Science, Proddatur. Born on June 05, 1971, at South Mopur Village in Nellore district, Prof. Siddeswara Rao completed School and College Education in Nellore District. He passed B.Tech from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi and M.Tech from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. He was awarded a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering by Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Avadi, Chennai for his thesis on “Performance and emission characteristics of a four stroke DI diesel engine fueled with different biodiesel blends and nano fluids”. During his marathon teaching service of about 22 years, Prof. Siddeswara Rao served at various levels, spanning from Assistant Professor to Professor of Mechanical Engineering. He has 25 research publications that were published in journals of international repute. Under his supervision, 50 B.Tech students and 5 M.Tech students completed their project work. He held quite a good number of both academic and administrative positions, such as Administrative officer, Placement officer, Controller of Examinations and contributed his mite supporting the College administration. He served as a member of the Indian Society for Technical Education, International Association of Engineers, Internet Society of Connectivity and IRED Institute of Research and Doctors. His priorities include quality sustenance, equity and social justice, transparent administrative set-up, effective functioning, innovative teaching and quality research.
